The Town of Tyngsborough Sewer Commission is currently pursuing grant funding for the purpose of upgrading the Phalanx Street pump station and installing approximately 1,200 linear feet of gravity sewer line. As a result, eleven properties that abut the Merrimack River, could be removed from on-site wastewater disposal systems and connect to municipal sewer (which was detailed and approved in the state approved Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan). This will eliminate threats to the environmental resources, preserve and protect water resources in this area, and protect the public health.
