Disposal of Bulky Items

Bulky item stickers ($15) and/or overflow trash stickers ($5) can be purchased at the Board of Health Office or PAY HERE ONLLINE. Stickers will be mailed to you if purchased online.

Bulky items are normally picked up on the same day as trash day but you will need to notify Republic Services at 978-649-7564 for pick-up.

Please note there are NO curbside bulky collections at the following locations:

Small Bulky Items

Pink Sticker, No Charge

Small bulky items that do not fit into your trash toter can get a free sticker for disposal.

  • Wood chairs
  • Mirrors
  • End tables
  • Children's toys (under 50 pounds)
  • Plastic lawn furniture


Overflow Trash

Pink Sticker $5

An Overflow trash sticker is for extra trash bags that cannot fit into your trash toter. The sticker can be placed on your own trash bag and be placed curbside for pick up.

Online Payment

Pay for your sticker(s) online BOH FEES and we will mail you the sticker(s).

EXTRA TOTER:

Residents can lease ONE extra TRASH toter per household for $200 per year or pay a one time fee of $60 for a RECYCLING toter.

Payment can be made in person at the Health Department, by mail, or online. Once the payment is received, a request will be put in to Republic Services to deliver the toter. 

For the lease of the trash toter, we will send you an invoice/ reminder before the anniversary of the lease.

Please note the toters are property of the Town of Tyngsborough and cannot be taken out of Town.

CRT, Appliances, & Metal 

Call Republic Services at 978-649-7564 to arrange for the disposal of these items for fee and click here for the latest pricing or bring to Zero Waste Day that are held the 1st Sat of May and November. 

Scrap metals can also be dropped off at our Recycling Center. Please note NO full size appliances.

Mattresses

UTEC  provide curbside pick-ups of mattresses and boxsprings for a fee.  Collection is normally on the second Tuesday of each month. You can schedule online or call 978-856-3997.

Mattresses in good condition can be donated to the following organizations. Please contact them for more info.

Textile Curbside Pick-up or drop-off 

The Town of Tyngsborough has entered into an agreement with HELPSY, a textile recycling company. HELPSY  accept clothing, other textiles, and shoes. See the list of items they accept here.
