Overview

Businesses and business owners are welcome to meet with the Select Board during the Citizen's/Business Time portion of the meeting for comments, questions, or discussions.

About The Select Board

The Select Board Members are the chief municipal officers of the Town.

The Town Manager is appointed by the Select Board to oversee the daily operations of the Town, advise and administer the policies and procedures of the Board, and enforce Town by-laws and actions passed at Town Meetings.

The Management Team is responsible for managing the personnel, benefits, and risk management functions of the Town. These include the formulation and implementation of personnel policies, collective bargaining, wages and salary administration, recruitment, and the purchasing of all town goods and services. Personnel records are managed and maintained by the Town Manager's Office.

Also under the purview of the Administration are all licensing and the fee schedule. The Select Board serves as the town's licensing authority. Staff in the Town Manager's Office also provide information, materials, and technical assistance to citizens, various town boards/committees, and commissions.
