Tyngsborough - The Town of Tyngsborough and the American Legion Post 247 hosted the 2024 Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 27, 2024. The program kicked off in the Town Center at 8:30 AM with a wreath laying, and the presentation of flags followed by a three-gun salute. The group then traveled to all five cemeteries in Tyngsborough where similar ceremonies took place throughout the morning. The Town wishes to thank the American Legion Post 247 and members of our community who attended today's program. We additionally wish to thank the Tyngsborough Police for the escort and the Town's Veterans Service Director & VSO Christopher Dery for the planning that went into today's event.
In years past, this program would conclude with a family event & barbeque at the American Legion. While the American Legion rebuilds following their devastating fire, the Town has pivoted. We are thrilled to be able to resume that event next year once the Legion re-opens.
