The storm is anticipated to drop between 10 and 20 inches of heavy snow in our area. Wind gusts are expected to be high and power outages are possible.

Residents are advised of the following:

🗑️Trash & Recycling pick up will be delayed by one day, with collection occuring on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Please do not put your toters curbside until Tuesday morning to ensure they do not get damanged by snow removal efforts.

🎙️The Select Board Meeting which is scheduled for 6 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026 will take place via Zoom as a result of the storm. Visit the calendar on tyngsboroughma.gov to get the Zoom details.

  • Parking in municipal lots is prohibited beginning at 7 PM on Sunday, February 22, 2026, and lasting until further notice. Vehicles parked in any town-owned lot will be towed at the owner's expense to ensure proper cleanup of municipal lots.
  • A winter parking ban remains in effect for all roads in Town. Parking on public ways impedes our ability to safely and effectively clear the roads and is strictly prohibited. The Tyngsborough Police Department will ticket and tow any vehicle violating this parking ban.
  • Residents are advised to avoid traveling, especially in the overnight and early morning hours on Monday unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, please leave plenty of room between you and plows to ensure they can safely clear and treat our roads.
  • The Tyngsborough Fire Department will monitor storm conditions and power outages and will open a warming center if necessary. If a warming center is opened, the Town will use all available communication channels to get the message out to the public. If you are a vulnerable senior or resident who otherwise requires additional assistance, please contact the Fire Department's business line for assistance by calling 978-649-7671.
  • Look out for your neighbors and report unsafe or emergency conditions to 911.
  • If you're able, clear the hydrants near your home to ensure that the Fire Department can access them quickly in the event of an emergency.
  • Charge mobile devices and check tyngsboroughma.gov for alerts throughout the storm. If you haven't already, be sure to sign up for emergency alerts to be notified of storm-related updates including the opening of a warming center.

Additionally updates will be shared here and via our emergency alerts system.
