At their meeting on January 6, 2025, the Select Board and Town Manager formally opened the Fiscal Year 2026 budget process. Fiscal Year 2026 begins on July 1, 2025 and runs through June 30, 2026.
While the budget numbers at this point in January are preliminary and will be refined in the coming months, the Town Manager's Office has made preliminary budget information available early for review by members of the Community. The information is available at the link here on the Town Manager's page. This page will be updated as the process moves along.
Residents may contact the Town Manager's Office at 978-649-2300 x100 or email administration@tyngsboroughma.gov to ask questions or request additional information on the FY26 budget. Residents are also encouraged to watch the recordings of public meetings where the FY26 budget is discussed.
Finally, in the coming weeks, the Town Manager's Office will once again schedule Budget Office Hours which were established in the FY25 budget planning process as an informal opportunity for residents to meet with the Town Manager and staff ahead of Town Meeting to dive into the budget, better understand the budget development process, and ask questions. Check back for those dates once scheduled.
