Each year, the Select Board is required to conduct a performance review of the Town Manager in accordance with the Town Manager's Employment Agreement. The process includes a self-evaluation by the Town Manager which is then shared with the Select Board and individual members are asked to provide feedback. At the conclusion of the review, the Select Board Chair traditionally compiles a summary of the evaluation which is then discussed during a public meeting before ultimately being voted on.
The Select Board has three options for scoring the Town Manager's Performance:
- Excellent
- Satisfactory
- Needs Improvement
At their meeting on May 12th, the Board voted unanimously to rate the Town Manager's performance as "excellent" based on the compiled evaluation.
"Colin is meticulous, diligent, and has the personality necessary to excel in his role as Town Manager. I agree with Colin's assessment that his performance this year has been excellent. He has continued to meet very lofty expectations, and we look forward to another year of success". - Select Board Chair Eric Eldridge
